Adam is the founder and Chief Executive of ProjectChange – a charity founded by members of the care community in Scotland in 2020 – that aims to support the care community to become about human connection and not be focused on just the care system.

Prior to founding ProjectChange, Adam was co-chair of the health and wellbeing workgroup at the Independent Care Review, helping lead the groups and overall reviews work and ultimately final recommendations. While also working at the Independent Care Review he worked part-time at Edinburgh Council to help establish their Champions Board, also in this role he also took a leading role as co-convenor of the Edinburgh City Corporate Parenting Board.

Adam Bennet said: “I am delighted and humbled to be joining Young Scot. As a young person in Scotland, I have seen all the amazing things that Young Scot provides for my fellow young people – and I look forward to bringing my unique experiences and skills to the board.

Elma Murray, Chair of Young Scot Board said: “I am over the moon to welcome Adam to our Young Scot Board. His specific expertise, knowledge and insight of care experience in Scotland will bring valuable perspective to everyone at Young Scot as our staff work hard to serve all young people.”
