Young Scot and eSgoil are partnering up to deliver a programme of free online courses for young people.

Young Scot is delighted partnering with eSgoil on DYW Live for 2021. DYW Live is a programme of free, online courses that will allow young people from across the country to take part in a range of live, interactive learning sessions.

The DYW Live programme includes other partners delivering a variety of lessons, ranging from Virtual Games Design by Skills Development Scotland – to Climate Ready Classroom by Keep Scotland Beautiful, and many more.

As part of the programme, we will be providing the #AyeFeel interactive programme. This will focus on supporting young people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing by providing quality assured information and signposting to resources.

Each session will concentrate on a topic that may impact a young person’s mental health and emotional wellbeing, supporting them to develop an informed view of how to look after themselves mentally, emotionally and physically.

The course will contain information from our #AyeFeel campaign that includes a wide range of content, co-designed by young people and experts in the field, and will be delivered in an engaging way via videos, polls and interactive quiz sessions. By taking part, young people will develop an awareness of their own mental health and emotional wellbeing, know how to access relevant and quality assured information, and know how to identify if they need further advice or support and how to access it. We will also translate key resources shared during these sessions into Gaelic.

Teachers interested in providing these lessons for their pupils can register their interest via the eSgoil website. Click here for full details on the 29 courses on offer from January to March 2021.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the #AyeFeel campaign and resources. Tweet using the hashtag #AyeFeel tagging @YoungScot.
